It is not about the perfect picture on this one. Not every memory needs to be planned or posed. Sometimes the most meaningful stories are found in the everyday moments you never want to forget.
Whether we're documenting your family baking cookies together in the kitchen, spending an afternoon doing your favorite family activity, or meeting your senior and their friends on the ballfield where they've grown up playing together, these sessions are all about capturing life as it unfolds.
No pressure to perform, no need to look at the camera, and no expectation for everything to be perfect. We'll focus on the familiar places, favorite traditions, relationships, and little details that make this season of life yours.
Because one day, you'll want to remember more than what everyone looked like. You'll want to remember the sound of the laughter, the dirt on their uniforms, the way your kids played together, and the little things that made this time so special.

Reach Out
Let's chat! Ask as many questions as you need and let' see if we are a good fit for each other. (I bet that we are!) Once we are ready, we can then start the booking process and get to planning your session designed just for you.

Booking Link
Once we have settled on a session, time and location, I will send out a booking link. To finalize your booking the $50 non-refundable retainer (applied to your balance) and contract must be completed.

Planning
Questionnaire- Included in your booking link there will be a questionnaire. Completing this prior to your session helps me create a session just around your vision and personality. (We are here to create memories- the more personal, the better results!)
Styling- I assist with styling to get help you create the session that you are hoping to capture. I will share a style guide and be available to assist in this area up until the day of your session. I also have a Client Closet that can be used by Clients as requested.

Valley Session
$329+
Your story, captured just as you are.
This session is designed to capture the reality of your life, your favorite memories or pastimes. From decorating the Christmas tree, to making dinner, to a night of basketball at the house. This captures the moments that you do not want to forget.
Your session includes:
- Up to 1 hour of session time
- 25 hand-edited digital images, selected from your final gallery
- Private online gallery to view, share, and download your images
- Access to an online print store to turn your favorite images into keepsakes

Garland Session
$419 + tax
When you want your story remembered, but on a different level.
This session is designed for the larger group, the larger activity....or list of activities that you want captured to look back on years from now. For remembering that time on the ballfield with your friends, to making that special pie that only Granny knows how to make, this brings life into your pictures. These are the memories you will hold on to, not just in your heart, but in your hand too.

What does a documentary session look like?
Documentary is one of my favs! It tells a story, your story. It is a session designed around your family and the activity or simple life that you want to capture. From decorating the tree, helping each other on the farm, playing a game outside, the possibilities are endless! It is all set-up around your story and what you want to remember years from now. There is no prompting, no dressing up (unless you want to) and editing is more driven towards the real background (no removing distractions) and more simple. It just simply captures you and your family in your happy place.
How much time do we need for a documentary session?
It really just depends on what you want to capture, and I am here to help you decide that as we plan your session. For certain activities, such as fishing on your pond together or cooking a meal, the Valley Session would likely work. For decorating the Christmas tree or tending to the farm animals, I would go with the Garland session. We will talk about it and I am here to help all along the way with the planning what is best for your family!
Does the editing look different for documentary versus a standard family session?
Yes, and no. My editing style does not change for these for the most part as the tones of your session for either matches the tone of the atmosphere; however, I try to keep these as natural as normal. For example, if sister gets icing on her face, I will leave it. If there are personal items in the background, I won't remove them. It is about capturing the real, and to be honest, removing those details takes away from the memories you want to remember.
What do you recommend for use of these images?
To me, these are no different than what we kind of get with our phones, but you are apart of the story with me there! I can tell you that I do not have any pictures with my kids from the last six months in my phone, and I hate that! These sessions are to capture the memories of the things we love the most of about our lives. For me, I save those images and make photo books for us to have and then later pass on to the kids. I have a feeling they will want those pictures as much as anything else that I have photographed of them 30 years from now.
Do you travel?
I do travel. Since these sessions would be at places that are important to you, I will come to you. Depending on the location, there may be a travel fee, but we will work out all of those details and talk about it in the planning.
